Default Superchips Issues?

I'm not sure if this is normal or not but my truck will not shift to second gear below 2300 rpm. It also holds gears for a very long time, which I don't mind too much. Is this okay? I don't have the tm program installed.

Yea that's normal, I think you can change it back to stock trans tune without the upgrade.. I'm not for sure though.

The superchips trans tune is what makes the initial feel of superchips seem so powerful, in reality the power is increased only a small amount. Also, downshifting takes much less throttle position as well, so downshifts are quicker and easier, like when driving up a steeper grade. I like mine.

Completely normal. Thats what superchips does, adjusts the shift points so the truck actually operates in it's power band.

You have to pay to get the custom trans tuning ability, the canned tunes that come standard already have modified shift schedules. The custom trans tuning just allows more user programming of shift schedules. I had the "paid for" trans tuning and honestly the canned tow tune shhift schedule was way better than anything I could come up with on my own. You can read all about the trans tuning in the FAQ section here:
