Default Key / Remote 2007 Dakota

does anyone know how to tell if your key/remote is the standard key/remote combo or the sentry key system key/remote? I have a 2007 Dakota?
I have one key/remote and the remote doesn't work ( tried new battery) and I need to replace it but the manual looks confusing regarding the sentry key / not sentry key keyfob programming.

Take the remote apart and solder the piece that holds the battery to the circuit card. Just look at where it should connect to the green board. It always comes apart and for $200+ for a new one, you can fix it...both of mine have had issues (2005). They work fine now...
