Default Flaspaq vs Bullydog

I am currently running the flashpaq on my 08 Dakota V8. I have been hearing a lot of good reviews on the Bully Dog Gt tuner. I'm thinking about switching over to it because of the gauge feature.

just looking for some advice and opinions of the Bully GT.

What would you guys run???

Bully Dog is more aligned with diesel engines than gas. I asked the same question back when I first got into buying tuners/programmers. The Flashpaq will be superior to the Bully Dog for a gas engine, especially in the transmission department, is what I read over and over again on various Dodge forums.

I run the Superchips myself on my 2010 (same engine and tranny as your 2008), and get my best results from the 91 octane tune. I would run 93, except I do occasionally get a mild ping (just for a split second) running 91 octane with the 91 octane tune out here... can't imagine the horror of a 93 octane tune on 91 octane gas in my area.

Many swear by the tow tune for the 2005-2007 4.7L V8, but for the 2008+, I think the performance tune is better.

Using the Superchips 3865, and wouldn't consider switching.

Superchips is the preferred tuner for 3rd gen Daks. Not sure if anyone is running the Bullydog. It looks real fancy and from what I saw is twice as expensive as the Superchips.

Would those work on the 3.7 too? it would be a different tune of course since its a v6. Does it make a difference of power on a 3.7?

I think hypertech makes the only tuner for V6.'s.

I believe you are correct. Bully Dog's site does not list the V6 at all, and the Superchips site lists it, but has no products for it.

Since SCT pretty much just dumped Dodge completely, thats about it for gassers.

Hmm. What would the power increases be on a v6?
