So recently JackMyRide has released a 2in diff drop kit for the Dakotas, allowing those that wish to run bigger then a 2in level kit can.

I'm wondering if anybody out there is running it yet? What do they think of it?

Also how many would be interested in it?

Maybe a possibility to get enough people together, maybe we could see if he would be willing to do a group buy. or something.

 

Could you put up a link to it? I'm about to make one myself but if theirs looks sound, and I'm sure it would, I will definitely be interested if it is reasonably priced.

I have lifted trucks in the past and this kit should resolve one of the biggest issues! I have paid for more driveshaft parts then I care to remember, if anyone does run this I would be interested in keeping track of body lift and or suspension lift amounts for an addition to the build post.

 

Seems to be the answer to some of the front end issues on these trucks running leveling kits.

 

Should I assume that you'd install both the leveling kit as well as the diff drop to take advantage of both the leveling and axle "flattening" features?

What are the machined parts made of? In the pictures they look like machined aluminum & if that's the case, I'm not sure I'd want that holding the diff.

 

That is something I would be very interested in. Im just putting a 2" leveling kit but if it saves on parts, why not.

 

This would fix the CV issues but not the tie rod and control arm issues. It doesn't include the modifications for the exhaust crossover pipe that I'm about 100% sure would be necessary. I would want a skid plate with this since the drop would put the front differential and the further most crossmember at risk for hitting anything on or off road.

 

It specifically states they're made from machined steel.

 

Sure wish they had this last year before I dropped mine.
