This has happened on a few of my parents' company trucks, various brands. If it's not the resistor I'll be surprised but that's definitely the first thing I'd check.

Thanks everyone for your help! I fixed it this morning and it was indeed the resistor as I posted a link to the part previously. This task really sucked for someone with big hands. Autozone had the best price on the part at $10.47 w/ lifetime warranty. If anyone else ever runs into this problem as I did, basically the resistor is on the right side when you pull down the glove box. It is held in by 2 torx bolts which sucked for me and my big hands. Thanks guys again.
