Default Mid-Low Settings on Heater/Blower not working. Need Help ASAP

Hi all, so I started my truck on this icy morning and come to findout that my defrosters, and upper/lower blowing vents are not working on any of the settings EXCEPT the highest setting. I used my truck a few days ago and all was good on the lowest setting which is what I usually use. Has anyone had this issue and if so, could you give me a quick tip? Thanks in advance.

What setting are you talking about? Heat or blower speed? So no air at any settings besides high? When on high (if you mean blower speed) where is the air coming out? Maybe something is frozen.

Maybe the **** itself, only recognizing the high setting.

Well, only the high setting works for ANYTHING related to the heater or A/C. This relates to defrosting, air coming in, etc. Those functions, along with the a/c, only work on the highest setting. If I dial in anything BUT the highest setting, nothing happens.

So something in the fan circuit? either resistors or the switch itself I'd guess.

So in this situation, there's no fuses to check? Its either the switch or resistor? Does anyone know where the resistor is? Thanks.

I'd guarantee its the resistor. My old Dakota did the same thing and it was the resistor. You will eventually lose the highest blower setting as well. Its a cheap fix, $15-20 maybe even less. To replace it shouldn't only take 30 minuets or less. The location I quoted below from the manual.

The blower motor resistor is mounted to the HVAC air inlet housing, directly behind the glove box. The blower motor resistor consists of a molded plastic mounting plate (1) with an integral wire connector receptacle (2). Concealed behind the mounting plate are coiled resistor wires contained within a ceramic heat sink (3). The blower motor resistor is accessed for service by removing the glove box from the instrument panel.

You can get yourself a service manual by downloading a copy from the sticky in this forum. It will give you all the schematics and provide you with answers on where things are located on your truck. A little research goes a long way.
