My 07 downshifts pretty hard from time to time. Has done it since it was new. Everyone says it's normal
Yep... my 07 shifts up and down hard at times, its up to date with all services and still pulls solid without slipping. I'd rather it shift somewhat hard than slip/slide into gear
People will debate whether or not it's worth messing with the tranny fluid. There are multiple schools of thought, though many do agree that the auto-tranny on dodges can be real finicky. That being said, if you do plan to flush the trans fluid (and continue to do so in the future, it may benefit you to install a drain plug in the trans cover (like your oil drain plug) just to make it easier to drain in the future without as much of a mess, or just drain and replace, without having to remove the cover at all...just need to make sure you install it in the lowest point possible to drain as much fluid as you can. That's my opinion...
