Default Need front ABS

I have a 2005 QC SLT Dak that doesn't have ABS on the front and never has as far I know (Build sheet says: BGJS Pwr Disc/Drum Rr Anti-Lock Brakes). For the most part the 32" tires have done a good job keeping the front wheels from locking up but they're just not good enough especially now that all the speed traps in my town have been shut down. The front right wheel has started locking up a lot and I really want to add ABS to the front before something happens and I can't get the truck to stop in time. Anyone know what would be needed? I've done a few searches and haven't found anything but I'm sure there is something out there. I've started looking through the manual but that's not doing much for me. Any help is much appreciated.

So I will probably need new hubs with ABS sensors but there might be a spot on the ones I have already to put a sensor on. That would be either $200 for the new hubs or $100 for the sensors including wiring. Next is the ABM/HCU. I have a feeling that Dodge used one HCU for all three ABS setups they ran on the 3g Dakotas and just programmed them differently and put plugs where the lines for ABS should go which means just reprogramming it. If not I think they go for about $70-100. I still need to look into that more. Then I will need the ABS brake lines. Haven't found those yet. I think the final thing to worry about is whether the wiring harness will be the same or not. That is a deal breaker for me since electrical wiring is the bane of my existence but again I think Dodge used the same one for all ABS types.

Wonder if programming the ABM/HCU is/can be done with a programmer like a SC flashpaq.

If your front right wheel is locking up with 32s id venture to say there is an issue with your braking system and not the fact that you dont have front abs. Air in the lines. Frozen caliper. Return clips. Any of the usual stuff to inspect...

Nah it's actually all new pads rotors and calipers and it's just that the front right is quicker to lock up than the left. I bled the calipers several times not a chance if air in them. They only lock up when I really have to slam the brand but that is when I need the ABS...

I called Dodge and asked about the HCU and the ABM and they only made 1 variation of each so I just need to hook up the hardware and reprogram. Now I just need to find out about the lines and programming the ABM. Hope this is an excuse to finally get a programmer. This weekend I'm going to remove my exhaust mod and do a steering fluid exchange so I'll poke around the hubs to see if I can put a sensor in current ones.

New junction block too. That's where the extra brake lines for the ABS go to... Nope. F this. The people at Dodge were wrong. There are DEFINATELY two HCU/ABM types.

and

The first is for 4 wheel ABS and second is for the 2 wheel ABS I already have. A 4 wheel one is $450. So new hubs plus this and the misc. tubing would end up at almost $800. I think I will use that money to fit larger tires. That route is better. I like that route.

I have 33s and rear abs only and vegas traffic with all these damn cali tourists ive locked em up a few times. Rear tires shutter from abs and fronts just roll....never had a problem with fronts locking up or one front locking up. Not sure if its from tires size or just properly working brakes?
