Default Shocking

Questions for you guys!

I have my heart set on a set of socks, I want to outfit my truck with a set of KYB's...

However the monomax shocks, the ones I want are only available for the rears, the front in KYB is in Excel G, the regular replacement shocks.

What is the Consensus when it comes to shocks? Should I stick with all 4 corners the same? or is it ok to mix them up?

Any thoughts?

Dont know many who are running KYB's. IMO, they are stock equivalent. Most run Monroes (a bit stiffer than stock) or Rancho's (way stiffer than stock). It really does not matter if shock brands are different from front to back, I just personally would not run different shock brands side to side.

^ that.

Doesn't matter if front and back are different because of the massive gap in weight distribution and suspension behavior. I'm running Monroe Sensa-Trac in the rear and Rancho's up front for example and it's way better than stock.
