How about headers ? I installed a paid of Gibson on my '06 two years ago, and I've enjoyed the response they have given me.

BTW. Very nice set up and a good looking truck. Not too many QC manual v8 4x4s. +1 on the gearing mod; i would like 4.56 since 35s are what i plan to buy. I will not be doing any motor mods as I would rather just swap in a hemi--big job, but that is a mod I would recommend.

Thanks for the input guys, gears are definitely in the future I think my next steps are tint, a decent set of side steps (to hide the frame a little and to keep the girlfriend from complaining because she has trouble getting in), and probably headers since a have a leak there anyway, I'm afraid the manifold bolts are going to snap off so I might put that off until summer. Would love to find a nice steel or baja bumper but seems the aftermarket world skipped over the 3rd gen. Also maybe a roof rack like the frontiers?

All great ideas. i put my rack on the camper top as i didnt want to drill into the roof; but I may put a rack on the cab anyway. they look great and are very handy with a 5.5" bed. I was surprised how easily the manifold bolts came out--except for one. 6hrs later...

Just saw this thread and I'm pretty pumped I've been wanting to body lift my Manual bad but had given up since nobody had done it and I didn't want to be first and get stuck! Any issues with the console being in the way of the shifter? What console does your truck have, are the quad and club cab consoles the same?

My console only consisted of two cup holders and a small change dish, it didn't extend between the front seats so I'm not sure what's in yours but I had no problems at all except the oem shifter boot not fitting on the short throw shifter.

Mine does have the console between the seats that extends to the shifter. Has a few compartments down by the shifter and a few cup holders. Only 2 wheel drive so no short shifter to worry about. I don't know if the 4 wheels have that or are push button

I'm honestly not too worried about the console though I can figure out a way to make that work I'm sure. I was mainly more worried about the main shifter and all the lines reaching. So since that wasn't a problem I'll prob order one shortly and see what I can do.

you have a stick shift and two cup holders? My stick has only one beside it.
