Default SAS interest

Is there any interest in a 3rd gen dako SAS partial kit? I don't believe one exist right now, but I might have some influence to help that.

I'm definitely interested. I'm guessing it would be crazy expensive though?

I think there would be plenty of interest. Cost and installation complexity would definitely be issues.

The JK front axle fits the 97-04 dako/dur and the TJ front fits the 05+ body widths. We have an axle spliner at work so making 5 lug axles for the back wouldn't be a problem provided they come in the right shaft diameter. Boss says we can't keep the D44's in stock though- the Dana 30 jeeps eat them up as soon as we get them, and I'm not sure a dana 30 would work reliably on our platform. We have an LKQ account, and may be able to get axles from wrecking yards and re-gear them and recondition them then freight ship them to customers.

But that's what I'm working with.

yep.

I just looked on car-part.com, the 09-up front D44 OR D30 both start at $2000 (fits the 97-04 body). Damn.

The TJ axles that fit the 05-up body are considerably cheaper- $1000 range. Also believe the cherokee may be similar width.

If you can make like Sky-offroad does for chevys that would be best.

-Front cross member
-Steering box bracket/cut/drill pattern (for some fairly standard box)
-Rearward shackle bracket/cut/drill pattern
-Recommendation on leaf spring size/axle

That would be your best profit option. You don't dick around with axles, just tell the customer what they need to go with your kit, ship it, they assemble it.
