Default Where to find door skins

Hey everybody, I'm just wondering if there's a company that offers replacement door skins for our trucks, (that I can buy from in spite of not being a body shop).

I can't seem to find anywhere online that offers complete replacement skins, and wasn't able to find anything searching through the forums here.

Default Find a custom skin maker

Not sure back in NY if you have any of these guys around but here in Cali we have several different places that will make car skins/wraps for you. Most look like they are permanent.

Here are a couple of websites for one of them:

Are you talking about the outer layer of sheet metal on the door? I don't think you'll find those. And if your planning to change skins, trust me. Getting the whole door is sooo much easier.

door skins aren't bad, it used to be the preferred method for door repair if the shell itself was ok, it's only a couple hours work

That is what I'm looking for, I've done them before. They're not fun I know, but I could certainly do it again. I used a panel bonding adhesive instead of spot welds to prevent the heat sucking up the corrosion protection in the primer they use, and also to help keep moisture out of the seam. Then it's just a matter of scuff, spot putty if needed, sealer primer, paint, clear, buff.

I still haven't had any luck finding them.

I had to replace my Rear Drivers side door (club cab), New door, painted is $1300cad, at the dealer. (This is also blending the other panels, and installation)
I never seen anyone sell just the outer skin, Mine was to badly rusted for that option tho.
Getting a used door might be a option.
I bought a used door, Black (Same color as truck), Decent Shape, with Factory Tint window and plastic for $575cad. The Auto yard brought it up from Texas. So unlike used doors here, No rust.

when I worked in the GM body shop we also did the Dodge dealer's bodywork, it was in Michigan and we did a ton of skins because the skin cost plus labor and paint was less than just the whole shell, but that was mid 90s. my truck needs driver side doors now (was originally from Michigan)
