Default monroe 58650 -load adjusting rear shocks

just ordered some rear shocks
(monroe 58650)
Just curious if I'm in for a difficult time like the front struts?

Anyone else use the load adjusting shocks?

I got em in mine. They work great. Ride isn't too stiff either.

Super easy to install. I had no need to even jack mine up. Just a couple wrenches and it's plug and play.

Super easy install like he said. I took measurements and it gave me 3/4" lift after it settled a bit.

I got these shocks, Not hard to install even tho I did them the hard way. Did bring the rear up like i.who.made.you said about 3/4". My driveside one was close to the wiring harness, nothing that a little adjusting didnt fix.

Its easier to remove the spare tire, then jack the Frame, not axle. I did it by the axle, and had to use another jack to compress the shocks some to get the bolts in.

Sorry to high jack the thread, but others might be thinking like i am.

I've been thinking about these shocks for a while now, thinking of paring them with the Rancho RS5000 up front. Will that unbalance the truck? i was going to do this at the same time as a 2" lift up front.

Should i stick with monroe all around or do the Ranchos all around and put a 1" block in the rear to keep some of the rake? My main goal is to have it be better offroad, lift the front but still keep some of the rake so when i load the bed i'm not nose high. So i was thinking about using these shocks in the rear to lift it a bit or put the ranchos and put a 1" block.

Ive got monroe upfront, had the factory ones replaced when i had a 1.5" leveling kit installed, not sure on the Ranchos as I dont have them. Mine still has rack with the 1.5" kit

We are on our 2nd set of Monroe load adjusting rear shocks. Had one start leaking within the first year. Rockauto replaced them both under warranty with no problems.

Like others have said they did raise the rear some, but they seem to settle a bit.
