Tire and Wheel Questions
Hey guys I'm new to the Dakota family and I could not be more stoked!!
I am looking to mod my 2005 Dodge Dakota, quad cab, 4.7L V8, 4x2
I am thinking about buying this wheel and tire setup, any advice if i should get a smaller wheel size or if this one will be fine without any trimming.

I had 20's on for a while, and decided to go with a smaller wheel size (17's). For 20's, you need to pick the offset of the wheel carefully, the same with any other size wheel too. As far as tire size, a 265/50/20 is the largest tire that will fit on stock suspension, and a 285/50/20 will fit a Dakota with a leveling kit installed, but will require some minimal trimming. Read this thread for some good information.

I had 17's for my winter wheels, and when I changed up the look of my truck I decided to go with 17's. The ride with the 20's was fine, but obviously the extra cushion of the smaller wheels lets you roll over things a little easier, and feel it a little less.
