Default Positive camber after 2"leveling kit

Has anyone had this problem? MY alignment was in spec before, i did the alignment myself. I know positive camber happened from the added kit, but has anyone ever had a problem getting it back to spec AFTER installing a leveling kit and having a proper alignment?

since the control arms are unequal length, you will definitely get strange camber angles after installing a leveling kit. This is why everyone recommends an alignment after installing any kind of leveling kit. The alignment that is to be done is not just for toe in or out, but also for caster and camber.

It can be done in a driveway, but based on the exact angles that you need to get for caster and camber, the low cost of an alignment is more then offset by the time it will take to try and get it right yourself. change one thing and it can change a bunch of others.

In this case, let the professionals do it. just get it close enough to get to the alignment shop.

What? That read really weird. Anyways the UCA is shorter than the LCA which means (trigonometry s***) at 2" extension (or compression) from stock the UCA will tuck in more than the LCA yielding in NEGATIVE camber soooo did you loosen the LCA camber alignment bolts or something?

S**** the same anyways. Take it to have a professional do the alignment. The money you spend will be saved when you don't have to buy new tires prematurely.

Yeah, I was tired when I wrote it. And just got in from watching Mad Max. I changed a part without fully rereading it because I could swear that it should have been negative camber also.

O.o I liked that movie. Its cool we still got the jist of it. But seriously I didn't get an alignment done when I changed all the IFS parts and now I'm going to have to buy $500 worth of tires early. GL and post some pics.

You guys missed the point lol. I have an alignment machine at work, that's how I did my alignment before. But I won't be able to do it for a few days so I just have some thoughts, But I'm just curious if anyone was NOT ABLE TO get it in spec after a leveling kit.

I barley passed geometry LOL. I think you have a point, but I just feel like it would cause positive because that's what I have now. I did not loosen the lowers, only the uppers but those don't have eccentrics.

there is enough adjustment available that with 2" levelling kit that you'll be able to get back to proper alignment
