I have an 06 4.7 slt 4x4 dakota. It's got 220k miles on it, but it's in great shape. Lately I've been hearing a squeaking sound coming from the rear. I took it to tire kingdom and they think it's a T case issue. I don't want to have to buy a new T case if i don't have to. My rear tires will also lock up after using the 4x4, they unlock after a little while. Not sure what that's about. Thanks for any help.

 

Transfer case is in the middle of the vehicle, not the rear. I'd be leaning more towards a rear end issue. Take it to a real shop. Tire Kingdom is not in the business of diagnosing mechanical problems.
