So I bought a 2.5 inch leveling kit for my 2007 dakota SLT quad cab 4x4. In order to keep the front CV joints from binding and wearing out I am looking at lowering the front diff. Jack My Ride has a diff drop kit, as another member pointed out to me. I found a diff drop kit by another company and it's a little cheaper than the JMR diff drop. the only problem is that its sold for the 1997-2004 model. Where as the JMR states that it will fit the 1997-2011 model. Does anyone know why this is? Or if the 2nd gen dak and 3rd gen dak share the same diff mount points?
Looks like it might fit but since its not curved like the JMR one you will run the risk of needing a spacer on the end of your drive shaft to account for the arc of the drive shaft. At $20 price difference I'd stick with the proven solution.
