360 Magnum Swap
What year is the 360 from? Hope your pockets are deep. You will need pretty much everything. Engine, transmission, transfer case (if 4x4), drive shafts, PCM, wiring harnesses, probably the instrument cluster, custom engine mounts, possible frame modification for the engine cradle, front suspension issues, etc, etc. Might be easier to graft a Dakota body on a Ram or 2nd gen Dakota frame.

just an estimate, for the cost of the entirety of the parts, how much do you think it'd cost? I have the tools and time to take care of it so no mechanics necessary !! it's either the 360 magnum or an LS3, maybe an LS1 for the swap. as for the model of the 360, I wasn't exactly sure which year to go with.
i think the chevy engine would provide better value, and you have to change all the same stuff anyway, plus the chevy has more available for it. I think I would go with a hemi, though. Its been done, and it can be tuned to use the existing harness and ecm. Only one frame mount has to be altered. I believe the oil pan has to be modded to fit. Search the hemi dakota project.
