let us know what you find out. I'd need something compatible with the steering wheel controls. Seems like that was hard to come by back when I looked.

Heres a little example of the mirror with rearview I'm talking about. Primarily a dash cam, but will do the trick I think. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HD-1080P-Dua...AAAOSwYaFWcDgu

Sorry it´s been a while, I had to do some work out of the country.
Here is what I came up with.
I cleaned my throttle body, helped idle a little, changed TPS and IAC, helped a bit more.
Still a little rough at stop lights. Switched to NGK 2262 spark plugs, all is great now.
I am not going to worry about the passenger window, I don´t use it enough to start pulling door panels.
For the radio situation, I did not want to do any cutting or modifying the dash bezel, so I did some extensive research.
I found what is called an oversize single din from Power Acoustik. Model PD 454B. It has a 4.5 inch screen, bluetooth, rear camera input, dvd/cd/usb/sd card.
I can get the radio head unit, dash install kit, back up camera, antenna adapter, and interface harness for less than 200 dollars on amazon. I will be ordering it for Christmas.
It will allow for a clean install with no cutting, and the dash kit has the ¨ears¨ built in to fill that gap.
I am glad I decided to keep the Dakota, those new Tacoma´s do not have the power I am used to with this 4.7, and you can´t find a mid size truck with a V8 anymore.
