Default Leaf block install

Hey guys tried installing the rear lift kit for my 08 Dakota tonight. I don't know what I'm doing wrong ot if it's the wrong kit for my truck. The block does not alow the stud from the leaf to go threw it. I watched some videos on YouTube but I haven't come across another truck with the stud in the leaf. What am I doing wrong? Sorry for the crappie picture. Here is a link to the kit I bought.

I'm no expert, but I believe the "stud" that you are referring to is the bolt that keeps the leaf pack together. The bump on the block goes into the hole in the spring perch, you have the block upside down in your pic.

Normally, you just remove the 2 u bolts, lift up the truck enough to put the block under the spring. Locate everything with the pins, and put on the new u bolts.
