Default Backup Camera: Comes on when applying brakes

My backup camera comes on when I apply the brakes. I have the Pioneer 8200 and have hooked up the camera wire to the White/light green wire on the backup light and the backup fuse. Both hookups Still backup camera comes on when applying brakes. What should I hook up the backup camera wire to so just the backup camera comes on when I put it in reverse with the brake applied.

I'm a little confused...why would you want the camera on when backing up and having the brakes on? Why should the brake wiring be involved?
Or, why not just put it on its own switch so you can turn it on when the cop car pulls up behind you?

Wrong wire You're using the brake light feed on the taillight.
Should be the VIOLET WITH BLACK STRIPE for the backup light, and are you sure about the other connection?
You are connecting to 2 hot wires. Is that the only connections?

Default 2010 Automatic Dakota 4.7 V8 Transmission shifting.

I really can't stand the slow get up at start, but the biggest complaint is the D*** 35mph sift down. Can this tranny be remapped like my 5.4 Supercharged F-150? I bought an after-market kit, hooks 2 OBDII connector & lets me select the program I like & change it back. Thank you, any help would be appreciated.
