Default Recommendations for Adjustable Hitch

Anyone have any recommendations for an adjustable hitch? My truck is the stock height - not lifted or lowered - with the factory tow package, including the hitch receiver. I'm a little concerned that a 4" drop will scrape in some dips or driveways, especially something like the Weigh Safe hitch. Thoughts?

A weight equalizing hitch has a wide range of adjustments. I've got one from 35+ years ago and I've unbolted and reassembled it a couple of times over the years. You can often find a used one for between $100 and $300. You want the equalizer bars included with a used one. Now ones tough, run $500 and up. Mine has a forged steel main body and I think I paid about $300 back in the late 80's. No telling what it would run new now.

I hadn't thought of including an equalizing hitch. I'll look at those, too. Thanks.

If you have trailer brakes and balance the load properly, you can haul just about anything. Back around 1989 or '90, I hauled a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 100+ miles with an '88. It looked like a Great Dane chasing a Chihuahua but it pulled just fine. Equalizer bars move the tongue weight forward so all the trailer weight isn't on the back. It keeps steering input strong.
