Default Transmission Gasket Replacement Help

Needing to replace the gasket due to a leak. Main question is getting the pan bolts off the are directly above the crossmember the holds up the trany. It is such a small clearance that it is beyond my patience. Is there a trick or tip to get those out or is it just a grin an bear it thing.

Vehicle: 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4x4 545RFE tranny

Thanks for any help

Been a long time since I did mine, but seems like I had to take the crossmember out.

You can read some threads around here for help. Like this one.

When I've changed the fluid and filters, I just put a jackstand under the driveshaft and remove the crossmember and transmission mount.

Thanks for the help. Got it done with out removing the crossmember. Has anyone ever installed a drain plug in their pan?
