Question Ignition Key Cylinder replacement

Does anyone know how to install a new factory key cylinder replacement (P/N 5018702AA) so I can keep the original key? I know how to install it in the column but how do i set the tumblers up to recognize my key? No instructions came with the new assembly. 2008 Dakota
Thanks

If it can be done, and that is a really big IF. You will more than likely have to go to a master lock smith.

I was advised by the parts tech that it can be done, it just didn't come with any instructions and I can probably figure it out. I was just asking if anyone has already done it and can advise. The lock comes with tumblers I just need to know the procedure to set them.

Take your old AND new cylinders to a locksmith and they can do it for you.
