Slight hesitation
Can anyone tell me what I can check to stop a slight hesitation when accelerating. It doesn't stall but it does hesitate which makes me think dirty sensor or mabey throttle body any help would be much appreciated 2008 dodge Dakota 3.7 4x4
Has the throttle body ever been cleaned?
I would start with that. Also, what about spark plugs?
I would also take a peek at the air filter while I was under the hood.
Another thing to help out is, did this just happen suddenly such as right after a fill up(bad gas), or has this been an ongoing deal.

I would start with a can of BG44k in your fuel tank, sea foam the intake, clean the throttle body. If that doesnt clear up the hesitation, look at plugs. If that doesnt fix it, check your short term fuel trims abd see what kind of deviation you have.
Ok the plugs and coils were changed about 2 months ago ,have not cleaned the throttle body for 1 year and it started about 2 weeks ago during a cold snap. What about a dirty map sensor
A map sensor failure would cause issues everywhere in the rpm range. Its more likely that your pre-cat O2 sensors could be dirty. You can check your short tem fuel trims with an OBD2 scanner that can display real-time data.

Idk if this has been resolved or not, but first thing is get some throttle body/map sensor cleaner. That assembly takes about 10min to take apart and clean. If it looks clean and there's no dust or debris then next best option is your throttle position sensor. They cost about 10-20 from autozone and have a lifetime warranty. It's literally a couple bolts on the side of your throttle body.
Also. Its not a bad idea to run some sea foam injector cleaner through the tank.
If all that doesn't get you going right then the O2 sensor could be a cause.
