Hello,
I'm having an issue with my 2007 Dakota. When driving in 2wd there is a loud grinding noise. Imagine dragging rusty chains around the ground.

The weird part is that when I put it into 4wd the noise goes away. I haven't yet had a chance to start tearing it apart, but from what little information I've been able to gather online it can possibly be the front driveshaft, or something in the transfer case itself.

Has anybody on here experienced this or know of where to start replacing things? Thanks!
