Anybody mounted a CB radio in their truck yet? Where did you put it? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options. I thought about either the passanger side floor board along side the cup holders or between the middle seat and the cup holder facing strait up. Any other ideas?

 

If you dont have a factory overhead console, there are aftermarket ones that are designed to have a cb or radio mounted in them. But not being too familiar with the new dakota, I really dont have an idea where a good mounting place would be for ease of use and out of the way at the same time.

 

You could do what RP said, or mount it under the glove box like you said. There's not much space for a CB. Good Luck.

 

Oh theres also a CB out that all the controls are in the mic and the radio itself is mounted under a seat. Last time I seen one was years ago. Might not be made anymroe.

 

I MOUNTED MINE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NEXT TO THE CONSOLE. I MADE A BRACKET DILLED 2 HOLS ON THE BOTTON AND THROUGHT THE FLOOR BOARD AND THEN TWO TOWARD THE TOP TO MOUNT THE RADIO. I RUN A GENERAL LEE AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WHATS SO EVER. AS A MATTER OF FACT IT IS FAIRLY EASY TO REACH IF YOU NEED TO ADJUST THE SQUELCH OR WHATEVER. IF YOU LIKE I COULD POST A PIC TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA?

I believe the inside of yours is still similar to mine, I have an '02. Here are some pics of how I mounted mine. I opted to eliminate the use of my cup holders. You can't really fit big drinks in them anyways without the lower dash being in the way. I installed new ones on side of consol to replace them.
