Smile Antitheft lock? Short?

Hey guys I own a 2006 Dodge Dakota 3.7 V6. I have replaced the following: ecu, starter, battery, fuel pump, alternator, and I'm about to replace the front suspension. Recenty after putting in the new battery my truck won't start and there is only a red light ok n the dash. I have no crank no start. I've tried resetting what I believe is a anti theft lock. I've done 5 or 6 different things removing the battery cables from the battery for up to 10 mins. I've crossed the positive and negative cables (not on the battery terminals but the cables themselves. I've tried putting the key in the on position for 10 mins pull back and try to crank. I've also tried to look at my fuses there not broken but quiet a few of them look alittle discolored. Also I believe I have a short in the headlights because when I go to turn on my low beams the entire dash cluster and dash flicker like crazy and I hear clicking noises it may be two different problems like a short but I have no idea what to do. And answers would be great!!

Sounds like everything that a bad battery will do. Take the battery back to where you bought it and have them test it. New battery should be under warrantee.

also if you have a fob, remove the battery in the fob. mine was acting up like you stated with the security system, once I removed the battery all was good, but had to manually lock doors now
