Just completed replacing the solenoid pack in the valve body of my 2006 Dakota (72,000 miles) w/ 42RLE transmission & 3.7L engine; all seemed to go well. I have not taken the vehicle for a quick learn procedure at the shop; not sure if this is a must or not. I drove it for the first time the other evening for ~ 5 miles; all went well. Tried to drive it the following day and it went into limp mode and kicked out P0700 & P0750 codes. Reset them and then drove on a variety of up/down road for 10+ miles; it performed flawlessly. Today, tried to drive it (it was raining) and it went into limp mode again and generated the same codes. All of the electrical connections to the valve body look solid. Not sure of what else to check myself before I bite the bullet and take it to a shop and pay to have them redo all of what I just did.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
John

Hi Chris,
My issue has finally been resolved. Bit the bullet and took the Dakota to a local transmission shop. They dropped the valve body and checked my worked which turned out to have been done correctly. With my permission, they replaced everything (solenoid pack, pressure transducer, and solenoid valve) that I had already done. Still no good. They took it apart again and re-replaced the solenoid pack which corrected the problem. It seems as though the solenoid pack that I installed was defective (got it on eBay which was advertised as new but believe that was BS) and the solenoid pack they acquired from Chrysler was also bad (incorrect internal wiring). I was very concerned about what my bill was going to be but they were fair and charged me a bit less that $600 which I thought was fair.
Good luck,
John
