Default Passenger side water leak

I am experiencing a water leak on the passenger side of my 2008 Dodge Dakota SLT Crew Cab. This is happening when a heavy rain occurs. I have found info on the possible fixes for the 2 generation Dakota models but nothing on 3rd Gen. Wondering if the AC discharge hose issue is the same on 3rd generation models as on the 2nd gen. models. It appears that the sealing around this discharge hose can leak rain water into the passenger floorboard side.

I have a 2005 Dakota and was having water leaking into the cab as well. Initially I would find water on the drivers side floor board, yet the top of the floor mate was dry. This would only happen when it rained and the truck was just sitting. I replaced the seals on the cowling where the windshield wipers mount, but still had leaking into the cab. Also one time the driver side door I found was filled with water, but that had more to do with the bottom seal being stuck to bottom of the door and not allowing the waters to flow out of the vents. I also had a couple of times were the passenger side floor was wet, yet the top of the floor mate was dry. Most of the time it was just the driver side filling up with water. After about 6 months of trying to figure it out I notices a little bit of water stain on the ceiling liner just above the rear window. I removed the Break light/Bed light assembly, just above the rear window, and found the seal had failed. Cleaned up the assembly and verified all the bulbs worked, and applied a small bead of Silicon along the top and sides of the assembly and reinstalled it. I have had no leaking since doing that.

Been there, done that. At least this was my solution, anyway.

I have an ‘07 club cab with a water on passenger floor issue but only when I ran the A/C. It ended up being the ac condensation discharge hose. I found it, and bought a PCV rubber elbow that fit and siliconed it on so it drained outside where it should. That idea was posted somewhere in this forum and it worked great. Never had any issues when it rained though. I guess it could come in that way though?
