2006 dodge dakota, no start when you turn the key, makes no noise
I drove my 2006 dakota to work monday without a hitch. Got home and parked it in the lane. 2 hours later I went to start it and nothing, no sound at all. The instrument panel lights come on and after the buzzing stops the car buzzes once then the check engine light blinks 10-times. All electrical works fine, blower motor, clock, door chime, headlights but nothing as far as starting the engine. It doesnt even click. What would be this problem caused by?
Loose, cracked or corroded battery terminals. The battery should also be load tested.A weak cell can cause funky electrical issues in a 3rd gen dakota,it needs a strong battery to run right. The can bus system is very sensitive to it.
Battery checked fine, cables are fine. Even tried hooking up a 75amp start charge and nothing. Starter is 6-months old, all connections to it and grounds are good. Checked all fuses and relays with no problems
