Question Slight High Pitched Humming during Idle

Hey Everyone,

I am new to the forum and thought that I would post a question to see if i got any resolution. I have a 2006 dakota quad cab. When I am idling I get a faint high pitched hum. You can not hear it outside the the truck, just inside the cab. If you turn the radio up loud enough and/or the air up high enough it drowns it out. I tend to just tune it out these days but i figured I would at least ask! If any of you have had a similar situation, I would love to hear what you have come up with or found out. Thanks for the help in advance if anyone reads this!!

Thanks,

Zach

Did you try listening with the radio completely turned off?Try putting your ear to the speaker?

Yes I have had the radio all the way off. I have not put my ear up to the speaker I will try that. Also, it sounds like it is coming from behind me when I’m in the drivers seat and it sounds like it is idling with the engine... if that makes sense.
