Default '08 4.7L V8 Dakota Symptoms (jerking, lock up)

I have a '08 Dakota that's just over 114k and last week (the 4th), it started jerking while I was on the highway going around 70-80km/h. Then the next day, it started jerking around 30-40km/h and the RPM gauge fluctuates for some time while idling and the CEL came on. Called up a friend who had a code reader and it resulted in P0068 which points to the MAF/MAP sensor, so I took it in to get it looked at on Friday (the 8th). They were not able to replicate the issue and took a small sample of my fuel to check for anything dirty...nothing. Saturday and Sunday it runs okayish..until today.

2 hours ago I take it out then when I come to a 4 way stop, the engine locks up while I'm stopped (no steering, no gas pedal response) but the engine is still running. I quickly shut it off then restarted it and I'm going again. No CEL light is on while this all happened tonight. The mechanic told me to go back if the CEL light comes on again and he'd run another diagnostics, free of charge.

One day it's running okayish, the next it's being slow to accelerate and what not. I'm not risking taking it out on the highway, but what could be the problem? TPS? MAF sensor? Fuel pump?

You probably need to leave it at the shop for a day or two so they can drive it several times with a scan tool or flight recorder hooked up and see if they can replicate the symptoms. You need to explain to them that the truck is too dangerous to drive that way
They need to dig a little deeper.See if they are ASE Master tech certified to do engine diagnostics if not find one that is,shouldn't take much more than 1hr .

your tps is fubar, get an oem one. they don't like aftermarket crap, and give your throttle body a good douching, probably all built up with carbon.but please remove it from intake first.
