Default 52" Curved Light Bar Mounting on a 2010 Dodge Dakota Bighorn

Hello. I have run into an issue with mounting a light bar. I got a 52" curved light bar for my 2010 dakota, and the brackets hang over the truck. I've looked all over online and cannot find any brackets that would be able to reach down to mount to the roof of the truck. If anyone know of any brackets that I can find to make this possible, please let me know.

A few good pics of the bar would be helpful to see what could be done to enable it to fit correctly.Or you could exchange it for a 42.

Sounds like your light bar is too long.

I didnt stop to think about getting pictures before I boxed everything back up. I was hoping instead of returning it to get a shorter one, I would ask to see if there were any solutions similar as a set of brackets to mount a longer light bar. My light bar extends just 2 inches off to where I wouldn't be able to mount it properly but if all else fails I may just end up needing to buy a 49" instead and keep the longer one because I plan to get a 1500 down the road

Another thing, I could fit the 52" across the bumper, but would in turn be in the way of being able to open the hood for any means necessary.

Perhaps reversing the mounting brackets might allow you just enough room, would kind of act like an offset mount,if there's enough room to do so.

I've already tried that. I turned them inside and they were just shy off a couple inches

The only other option I can thick of is to make an offset mount adapter to fasten to the truck first and then install that oversized light bar to it.Might look a little ghetto though.

Default Get a Fortin kit

I used a kit from Fortin.ca on my 2011 Dakota. It was basically plug and play. It included a jumper to interface with the ignition harness and a RF bypass ring to go around the ignition switch. Uses the factory key fob. Just press the lock button three times and it fires right up.

And if you jump in and try to go anywhere before putting the key in the ignition it kills the engine immediately.

Youll need to build brackets like these. This is a 52" curved bar and uses the factory bolt holes. Its seriously a flat piece of metal its that easy.
