Default Engine swap

I have a 06 Dodge Dakota with a 250,000 mile engine. It has a 4.7 and I want to swap it with a 5.7 hemi. Question: will the computer connections and motor mounts match? What info can anyone spare? Any information is helpful.

No. Search the forum for "hemi swap". It's been done a couple of times but it is by no means a bolt in job. Be prepared to spend some money.

Here's one thread.

Depending on the year of the Hemi. The 4.7 pcm can run the Hemi. The newer eagle Hemi's (09 and up) will most likely need to use the Hemi's pcm. That was my case anyways. The passenger motor works but the driver side will need to be made. If you are running 4wd, like me. You will also need factory service manuals for your dakota (downloadable from the forum for free), f.s.m. for the hemi donor is highly recominded for wiring diagrams. While the swap really isn't that bad. It still isn't for the faint of heart. Plus you will spend a lot money, Like all project cars/trucks.
