Default Picked up an '06

Hi guys, picked up a 2006 a few weeks ago. I primarily needed a pickup truck to haul an ATV around. I used to get it around via trailer and used an Explorer to tow but I got rid of the SUV. I hated the amount of time it took to prep the trailer so I was looking around for a pickup. I have a MB E350 and a Honda Odyssey, they take car of getting the family around. I didn't want to get a full size truck so I started looking for a Dakota. I found this one locally. Please take a look and guide me in the direction of mods. Thanks

Welcome to DF. Your going to find a very short list of commercially available mods, there was never really any sort of aftermarket support for these trucks. Depending on what engine you have, a tuner is the best bang for the buck mod you can do. Look for superchips. There are no suspension lifts, only coil spring spacers and blocks/helper springs for the back. There's ported throttle bodies available, e-fan conversions, exhaust mods, etc. Search the forum. There are tons of threads on homegrown mods you can do.

V8 is definitely the way to go. Congratulations on the truck. The manual transmissions were rare with 3rd gen Dakota's. You could always resell the oxidated headlights and get a better set. There are third party ones available.
