I have a 2010 Dakota. Everything works fine except while im driving the rmp's won't drop. When im going about 45 mph the rmp's won't go below 3200 rpms.
Check your transmission fluid, being low could cause it to hang on to a gear.
Reset your PCM by disconnecting the battery for a while, and turn the truck to 'On' to help drain the system. This reset may remedy the issue.
If the first two don't help, then change the transmission fluid and filters. There are two trans filters, and use OEM filters, not aftermarket filters.
