Default Dakota History

For our FCA Historians out there, I got one for you:

Was thinking on my way home from work this morning: Why didn't Dodge put a Hemi in the Dakota? The Durango got one, why not the truck?

I saw the article about why Jeeps don't have hemi's, with it being explained to be a crash test problem. More just out of curiosity than anything.

They were not going to invest in any more R&D for the Dakota. The writing was on the wall.

Dodge wanted you to buy the full size Ram to get the Hemi, it's all about the money.

And full size truck sales...
