Default Emissions

2006 Dodge Dakota 2006 4.7L V8
I am currently trying to pass emissions. It currently has 2 freeze frame codes. One is the trans temp sensor and the other is the oil pump metering sensor circuit. Would either of these cause any problems with the test? It currently reads that these 5 are not passing. Catalyst, Oxygen Sensor, Oxygen Sensor Heater, Evaporation System and EGR System. My brother who works for Chevy says that the 2 codes wouldn't affect the Emissions. What do you guys think.

Also if I do have to replace the Cats does anyone make a High Flow Cat for the truck? And if so what kind of gains whould be seen?

I agree with yr bro. but post the actual codes.

3 of the monitors run in sequence....the 02 heaters must run and pass before the 02 sensor and catalyst will run....why...the 02sensor data is used for testing the 02 and cat monitors.

the evap monitor won't run if the fuel level is above 3/4 or below 1/4 or if the ambient temp is to cold.

How long has it been since you've last reconnected your battery?

It takes a long time (sometimes) to let these sensors get into 'Ready' status. Two sensors reading 'Not Ready' in Jersey cause a failure.

I did have to disconnect the battery about 2 weeks ago. I did around an hour of highway driving but it still said the same thing. For it to reach ready status should I hit the highway for a few hundred miles to get it "ready"?
