Default Cam/crank sensor Help

I have a 2006 Dakota 4.7 slt. About a year ago going down the road it died I restarted it and it didn't seem like it was shifting. Then I noticed the cruise wouldn't work. I done some research and found out that people was saying to replace the cam sensor so I did and that fixed it. Over the next year I put four cam sensors in it. Now changing the cam sensor don't help it will shut down when ever it feels like and the cruise only works part time. I also put a new crank sensor, new ignition switch module in it when I got it it already had a new computer. I don't know what else to do.

Are you using aftermarket sensors/electronics or OEM? Do *not* use aftermarket sensors/electronics for anything engine/powertrain-related on these trucks...We've heard plenty of repeat-horror stories in the past from people doing that.

OEM only.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I replaced both the cam and crank sensors in my truck with aftermarket from the local parts store. Truck didn’t run correctly and I ended up ordering the Mopar ones. Zero problems since I put the OEM ones in.
