Default New clutch purchase advice

Looking to hear from the Getrag 238 manual owners. I’ve got an ‘07 TRX4 V6 4x4. 185,000 miles on the clock now and about to purchase a complete clutch kit including flywheel and hydraulics. I can’t believe I got this many miles out of the factory clutch.

Question is, Rock Auto lists 2 clutch kits. The factory size kit was an 11” diameter clutch disc. This kit is about $349. They also list one that has a 12” disc they say can replace the factory 11” one. It is $399. Is the extra $50 worth it? Anybody bought the 12” one? Anything I need to tell my shop guy before I drop of the kit for install?

Im thinking about going with the 12” one. Seems like more surface area = better. While in there I’ll have them do pilot hearing and release bearing plus rear main seal.

Any advice or tips greatly appreciated.

For 50 bucks, I think I would go with the 12". Considering the wear you got out of the original 11", I would expect that the 12" would last longer than the rest of the truck. Get a GOOD quality clutch though.
