okay I accidentally let my battery run down by leaving my keys in the acc run position over night, charged it up, turned on the truck and now the radio gives me the time and will switch to AM radio but I get no sound or station number display at all, will eject a CD and take a CD but still no sound or any other functions. no error or code messages. This is the factory base stereo from 2005. I'm wondering if its time to get a new one or if there is something I am missing on this?

Never mind, it fixed it self. Not sure what was wrong with it.

 

Strange indeed, I let my battery drain and now my head unit will not go into cd mode. I cannot eject or load cd's at all. Unit is full of cds, including my fav taj mahal greatest

 

Proabably a low voltage induced issue. Test the battery.
