No brake fluid,rear wheels
I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota,3.7 4x4,i changed rear brake shoes, wheel cylinder and the 2 rear lines cause i stripped trying to get off old cylinder, now i cant get fluid out either side in rear. Im getting fluid out front. Note: a while back brake lights came on dash, noticed no brake fluid, filled reservoir brake lights went off, 3 months went by then i have no brakes, noticed brake fluid/mixed with brake dust all over my cylinders and shoes so i replaced, which brings me here, why am i not getting fluid out rear,im thinking of driving safely to work and get help bleeding as im doing mostly with hose on bleeder screw connected to clear hose stuck in air tight bottle submersed in brake fluid. About 60 to 100 pumps still no fluid, fluid in MC full, any suggestions,oh ive had to use brakes abrubtly fast and hard several times,i thought about positioning valve
Maybe a bad master cylinder, that isn't pushing fluid to the rears. they make low cost bleeder kits that let you vacuum the fluid . but really you could just suck on a piece of hose to do the same thing. Obviously don't get brake fluid in your mouth. As far as the proportioning valve that is a idea also could have moved to 100% fronts when the system went dry>

How about your rear flex hose(s)? I've seen flax hoses collapse internally and NO pressure can get through. Usually, they collapse a little and will lock the brakes up, but sometimes they can block internally and you can mash hard with both feet and get nothing. You might as well try to stop a tank.
