Default Storage Cubby Replacement/Spare Wire

There is a little small "storage cubby" next to the cigarette port under the AV panel. I have no use for this at all being that it does not hold anything, not even coins because of how small it is. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other panels or anything you could replace the cubby with? Thanks in advance!

Also, there is a spare wire that is hidden behind the cubby and I'm not sure what it connects/could connect to. If anyone knows and could tell, me that's be awesome! I've gone through the owner's manual and just about every website you can think of to learn about these two things but nothing pops up! Thanks in advance!

Back in 2005, it was my flip-phone holder!

Nowadays, I don't even realize it's there. Not sure what spare wire you're talking about.

I don't have any blanks in my Dakota. The space closest to the power outlet is where my seat warmer buttons are located. The space furthest from it holds the 4WD dial. If you don't have 4WD or seat warmers, you'll have two blanks there.

That makes a lot more sense now. Thanks!
