Default Spare Tire tool

Just got a 2006 Dakota, spare tire tool is missing and having a hard time finding one. I have noticed that just about all are 17mm and the same shape whether it's ford, Chevy or dodge. Are they all basically the same? Tried the crescent wrench to lower it and no go.

i once went to a shop who brought out a battery impact with a socket and an extension. It's the exact same size as the wheel nuts if i remember correctly.

Your cable release could be gummed up which is why using a crescent wench did not work.

Problem with crescent wrench was a space issue. Didnt have enough room between tire and frame to do anything. (My sons a big guy)

Yeah, same kit for Rams & Dakotas. If you feel more comfortable getting one listed for a Dakota, Click Me.
