I have parked this truck since Sept of last year. It started with the trans temp light coming on intermittently. It graduated to service 4 wheel light coming on and trying to shift into 4 wheel while driving on its own. I went to pick up some brake pads when I got home found they gave me rears instead of fronts. When I went to leave to exchange them the truck wouldn't move. The trans won't engage any gears. I can move the lever no problem the linkage moves fine I'm at a loss here anyone have any ideas what it could be?

 

If you can ... get the trouble codes. That for sure will tell you. If you don't have a code reader get one, they're great tool to have.
