Default I put 02-08 Dodge Ram flares on my Dakota !

I searched around and couldn’t find anything cheap just to throw on the truck to hide the ugly rear bed rust that these things are known for. So I put Dodge Ram flares on it. It worked check out my video, hope this helps someone!

Very happy considering I have 65.00 invested. They aren’t a perfect fit but I made them work!

Hey I've been looking for a set of those rims, If you ever decide to change them out let me know and more than gladly take them off your hands

Looks good. I've been thinking about doing something similar but using the stainless steel/chrome setups.

That's an interesting paint job on the rims. Did you do it over the chrome or the aluminum wheels?

If you want to make a drive, there's someone in the Baltimore, MD, area that is selling a set. They look like the aluminum rather than the chrome wheels. https://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts...087786159.html

Nice work, I'm sure some guys will follow and get those Ram Flares installed and get their rust covered up too. It's great to know that another flare option exists for the Dakota, and should be available for a while.

Welcome aboard.

Yes those are factory mopar wheels, very hard to find in good condition. They were OEM on the 2007-2010 Dakota Sport package. The came in chrome, painted silver and painted black with machined edge. All three were 18" x 8.

Neat hack on the fender flares, I get the fact it's a viable, easy, inexpensive solution to the notorious dakota rust spots, although I would of treated that rust with something-something ... hehe

Thanks guys for replies! I was pretty sure they were stock, I guess I could have checked the window sticker to see. but all that stood out to me when glancing at it was the lifetime powertrain warranty the original owner had. Those seem to be a gimmick if I ever heard of one. As far as the wheels go I don’t plan on getting rid of them unless somebody wants them really really bad!
