An afterthought is the best definition of the 3rd Gen Dakota. For being built on the same platform, the Durango was the golden child that got all the good parts. If you do want an "improvement" to braking get the steering knuckle from a Durango. The caliper is mounted higher and the stock disc is 1" larger. If you find one that's aluminum you save on unsprung weight and the sway bar link mount is in a different orientation, so it doesn't tear out of the socket.
