I replaced my coil on cylinder 1 because it was destroyed (was also getting a code for missfire on Cyl1 thats when I discovered the dead coil), cleared codes with scan tool. Now the p2302 code is a pending fault again. I did not change the spark plug with the coil should I have done that? should I just change all the plugs? Its been a couple years maybe 3 years now since I put them in.)

The same code, I think to change the coil and plugs. Since it often fails, my car is not new, so most likely the problem is in them, I use mas-8 or CarBole, here you can see the top coils for 5.3 vortec and how to install them, perhaps beginners will be interested.
