Hi, new here looking to buy a dakota there are two that I am looking at one is an 06 with 90k, the other is an 05. both are crew cab
. anything problematic that I should be looking for. Tia.

only issue are really bouncy frt ends, my 05 has 218000 and still pulls strong. make sure you check the maintance records for both trucks.

I have had nothing but trouble with my 05. In the past 4 years I have had to rebuild the trans (because the radiator and trans cooler leaked into each other) replace the lower radiator support bracket, I'm going on the second ECU/PCM unit since I got it (its blowing coil packs. Another user is having the same issue with his 05), the transmission kick down solenoid (needed replaced before the trans went out.) check the ball joints, brake lines, look it over REALLY REALLY good for rust, mine is so full of rust that its not even funny.. I would honestly say if you are set on a Dakota, get the 06. I wish I had just gotten a full size truck at this point. (probably from another company..)
